The Hyperacusis symbol which looks like a rabbit with hearing protection on. Around it is the words in Japanese "I can hear and speak to you like this" and "Hyperacusis Hearing Protection" around it.

Hearing protection earmuffs are typically used for those who have hyperacusis (sensitive hearing) such as those with disabilities or who are neurodivergent. There can often be confusion where those wearing them may be mistaken to listening to music through headphones. In 2017, on Twitter, Ishiimark Sign Co. Ltd. from Osaka, Japan created this symbol in response to Azusagawa-san's request (Tweet) to have a symbol indicator on hearing protection earmuffs to let others know that someone is wearing hearing protection, not headphones. From there, the company decided to release the symbol to the public free-for-use, even for commercial use (Tweet). This means you can use this mark and sell stickers, cards, and placards with it. The terms of use regarding this mark are that it can be used for its intended use: indicating you are wearing hearing protection to protect your hearing due to sensitive hearing. This mark has started to catch on in Japan, and this site (little carrd site!) is here to help promote the use of the mark outside Japan. I created versions of the stickers that Ishiimark Sign created that are in English, Spanish, and French. If you wish to help by translating this carrd to other languages or creating other versions of the marking, please feel free to DM me with translations!(Or if you can, reach out to Ishiimark Sign Co. Ltd. if you can translate the site about their mark and their FAQ! I'm not good with Japanese so...)By using this mark, it makes it easier to visually understand that you are wearing protective earmuffs to protect your ears, not listening to music with headphones.
